Medusa dining room, early evening — candlelit tables and warmly-lit bar
Our story

A family kitchen
on Cheapside.

A Mediterranean heritage

Medusa opened on Cheapside with a simple brief — a small, considered Mediterranean table for Lancaster.

The kitchen is led by a family who grew up cooking with charcoal, fresh yogurt, and the rhythm of meze. We source lamb and chicken from British farms, olive oil and spices from southern Turkey, and bake our own flatbreads through the afternoon.

Our wine list is short and chosen with care — bottles we drink ourselves, at the price we'd like to pay. The bar leans on classic Turkish and European spirits, a proper raki, and two beers we trust on tap.

Come at lunch for a quick plate and a glass. Come in the evening for a long table of mezes and something from the grill. We keep the room quiet, the lighting warm, and the cooking unhurried.
