Welcome

An intimate Mediterranean table in the heart of Lancaster.
Turkish grills, shared mezes, and a considered wine list.

Lamb moussaka in a clay dish, with a glass of red wine and linen napkin
Our kitchen

Slow-cooked classics, unhurried.

Lamb moussaka baked in a clay dish. Kofta and shish marinated the day before. Mezes pounded, whisked and strained each morning. The kitchen is small, the pace is patient, and the recipes have been carried through the family.

Shared tables

Meze in the middle.

Our tables are laid the Turkish way — a spread of small plates, bread still warm from the oven, olive oil in a cruet, and mint from the herb garden. Nobody eats alone.

Skewers of lamb and chicken kebabs grilling over flames on a charcoal grill
From the grill

Charcoal, fire, smoke.

Our grill runs on real charcoal — lamb, chicken and seafood cooked over open flame by hand. The kitchen smells of woodsmoke from four in the afternoon.
